Vitamins Guide
Most people do not get all the vitamins and minerals they need through diet, so vitamin supplements are used to fill in the gaps.
If you are trying to either gain muscle or lose fat your overall progress can be stifled if you are vitamin deficient. Virtually every energy production or muscle growth process we rely on so heavily (and that we sometimes take for granted) is dependent upon, in one way or another, a vitamin.
Making matters more critical is the fact that people are notorious for overlooking vitamins because they assume that they are getting all of the vitamins and minerals they need through other types of supplementation. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that taking a pre-workout or protein shake won't provide you with vitamins that are beneficial, but without vitamins, muscle mass would decay, bone density would deteriorate and all systems of the body would begin to fail.
Vitamin supplements are especially important to athletes who put additional stress on their bodies with rigorous training schedules and strict diets. It's common for athletes to become deficient in a whole array of vitamins an minerals as they are depleted or lost during training.
